Joshua Lichtenstein is originally from San Jose, a city located about an hour south of San Francisco. After attending the International Career Conference in 2008 because of his interest in sustainability, he became motivated to pursue the ICC as his senior project. He believes that the ICC is an excellent opportunity to develop real world marketing skills that will be applicable towards event planning and other areas of marketing.

During his junior year, he studied abroad at Griffith University on the Gold Coast of Australia. While studying there he was able to gain a better understanding of how important the international aspect of business is to all companies. He also became immersed in the Australian culture and traveled throughout the country.

In his free time, Joshua enjoys surfing, snowboarding, playing soccer, cooking and travelling. In addition to living in Australia for five months, he has travelled to Mexico, Canada, Switzerland, France, Italy and many of the western U.S. states. He feels that a deep understanding of other cultures is vital for companies to be successful in the international arena.
